The 1889 birth date and the reason for the change have been verified by William Zorach’s sister, Ida Schoener of Cleveland. See also letter from William Zorach to Marguerite Thompson, December 7, 1911 at the Manuscript Division of the Library of Congress. The above information came from the publication, Marguerite Zorach: The Early Years, 1908-1920 Published for the National Collection of Fine Arts by the Smithsonian Institution Press, City of Washington, 1973, p. 58, note 14. --- measurements: state of the work: edition of the work: support materials: inscriptions: --- CURRENT EXHIBITIONS title: Thirteenth Exhibition of Water Colors and Pastels opening date: 1937-03-11T05:00:00 Thirteenth Exhibition of Water Colors and Pastels.
