This painting depicts the view from the balcony of Matisse's room at the H\u00f4tel de la Medit\u00e9rran\u00e9e overlooking the Promenade des Anglais in Nice. Pictured on the balcony are Matisse's daughter, Marguerite, and his model, Henriette, poised to toss their flowers to the participants in the parade below.",
