予求梅道人畫二十年不可得。所見多膺鼎,即故宮所藏山水數軸都不可靠。傳世真迹,惟《漁父圖》、《嘉禾八景》與此《草亭詩意》而已。壬辰十月十四日余大病初愈,居家休養,研山師忽持此圖相贈。展卷披覽,頓覺精神沛振,如服僊藥。同日又得宋拓柳公權《神策軍紀聖德碑》,及群玉堂藏《真草書千(字)文》,皆海內孤本。一日得數寶,欣喜何如,書以志幸。
