The vessel features seraphim, the highest order of angels, interspersed with scrolling vignettes of scenes from Christ\u2019s suffering and death. The etched \u201cSobrado\u201d on the base suggests that the chalice may have once been used to celebrate Catholic Mass at the Cistercian abbey church of Sobrado in northwest Spain.",
