* Henry Sill (American, 1902-) - artist
Henry Sill American, 1902-
Henry Sill worked as an architectural and industrial photographer in his native Cleveland during the 1930s-60s. He was associated with Parade Studio and the Lowrey & Sill Studio before moving to Leonia, New Jersey, to work for the Knapp Engraving Company.
During the 1920s-30s Sill took part in a number of exhibitions, including the Annual Pittsburgh Salon of Photographic Art (1927, 1929), the All American Photographic Salon at the Los Angeles Public Library (1927), and the International Salon of Photography sponsored by the Camera Pictorialists of Los Angeles (1928). He also was a frequent exhibitor in the May Show, the Cleveland Museum of Art's regional juried exhibition (1926-29, 1935-37). Sill's photographs have appeared in various publications, including Applied Photography and Business Week. M.M.
