        "description": "In the famous Kabuki play <em>Shibaraku</em>, the hero, depicted here, halts a villainous act by shouting shibaraku, or \"just a moment.\" Although Mori spent 30 years in the textile industry designing kimono patterns, in the late 1950s he studied with Keisuke Serizawa and began to use his knowledge of stencil cutting to create original prints. His inventive images, based on subjects from the Kabuki theater, Japanese festivals, and traditional folktales, were extremely popular both in Japan and internationally.",
