Initially he kept his art private and did not exhibit until the early 1980s. Winters is elusive when it comes to discussing the content of his art, but his images often appear biological, sometimes resembling organs. Each print in this portfolio was printed with two blocks. The background is printed from a single slab of oak. The design blocks, one for each image, are made of mahogany and printed over the first block. The title Furrows may refer to the lines that are made by cutting trenches into the wood. --- RELATED WORKS --- CITATIONS --- IMAGES
