The manufactory has operated under the name “Kosta Boda” since 1976. In 1990 the company merged with its largest competitor, Orrefors Glasshouse (est. 1898). * Victor Emanuel Lindstrand (Swedish, 1904–1983) - designer Initially trained in graphic design at Gothenburg’s Konstindustriskolan (School of Arts & Crafts), Vicke Lindstrand began designing for Orrefors Glasshouse (est. 1898) in 1928. By 1930 his modernist inspired designs were praised at the Stockholm Exhibition. Lindstrand went on to display his designs at the world’s fairs in Paris (1937) and New York (1939).
