From 1954 to 1955 he attended the Sorbonne in Paris, where he received a Degré Superieur from Cours de Civilasation. He also earned a diploma from Saint Andrews College at Autoro, Ontario, in 1951. King was given the Certificate of Award from the Printing Industries of America (1973 and 1978).
