The artist sourced the photographs from postcards she collected of natural or human-caused disasters. In the prints, she annotated the images with fictional filmmaker directions. While each print seems to represent a single movie still, Dean invites viewers to imagine the preceding narrative—as though it were part of a film—and decipher her handwritten clues to arrive at its ending. --- RELATED WORKS --- CITATIONS --- IMAGES
