She created a juxtaposition between a simple half-hitch knotting technique\u2014nearly 400 knots per square inch\u2014and the long unworked fringe that draws attention to the object\u2019s fiber materials. Carefully mapping her geometric designs before beginning, the artist referred to her style of working as \u201cslow painting,\u201d creating compositions by piecing together distinctive patterned forms to create eclectic asymmetry.",
