digital description: wall description: Bruce Davidson’s image brings back the excitement and majesty of the bygone era of a transatlantic crossing by ocean liner. He traveled aboard the luxurious Queen Elizabeth II (QE2) for part of its annual around-the-world cruise in 1998. Through Davidson’s lens, we become passengers entering New York Harbor, welcomed by the Statue of Liberty and saluted by a fire department boat. As exciting as travel can be, returning home may be the best part. --- RELATED WORKS --- CITATIONS --- IMAGES
