This work is a modern reinterpretation of Leonardo da Vinci’s painting <em>Lady with an Ermine</em>.

digital description:
The ermine in Leonardo da Vinci’s painting has been interpreted as a symbol of moderation or as a symbol for Ludovico Sforza, the Duke of Milan, since the sitter was his mistress. Stolkiner (known as RES) and collaborator Constanza Piaggio have replaced the pet ermine with the severed head of a pig, which has been considered a symbol of both gluttony and chauvinism.
